About this property

Welcome to Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel

Sophisticated and centrally located, Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel offers bright rooms and suites complemented by a chic café, a lounge, and a rooftop pool. Guests will find modern common areas and well-maintained facilities, although some reviews note that rooms and bathrooms can feel somewhat dated and have minor quirks, such as limited office desk plug-ins and occasional maintenance issues.

The hotel caters to a diverse crowd, including being LGBTQ+ friendly, and provides meeting planning services as well as a wedding venue, appealing to both business and leisure travelers. On-site amenities include the Dust Cutter bar, praised for its lively atmosphere, and convenient services such as a FedEx Office print and ship center. Rooms were clean, service was kind, location was great for the conference. I didn’t love the construction I wasn’t informed of happening next door, the non natural fiber sheets had me sweating, and my AC stopped working on my last night. The lobby Reno is super nice, but the rooms feel a little dated especially the bathroom.

It was a pleasant place to stay. The lobby and staff were excellent. The rooms were lack luster. It was nice, but there were a few quirks. It's a long term hotel, with no microwave or decent sized fridges. The "desk" for doing office work had no plug ins nearby. The desk and chair worked but was very uncomfortable for a few hours of sitting. The room was clean and comfortable though.

Reasonably nice hotel in a convenient downtown location. Common areas of the hotel are very nice and the lobby bar is a great place to relax after a long day. The room was fine, but nothing special. You're definitely paying for the location. I was in town for a tradeshow at the convention center, which is a short walk away. Lots of good restaurants and bars within walking distance as well. My flight was cancelled on my scheduled day of arrival and I was worried that my reservation would be cancelled when I didn't check in on the first night of my stay. The staff held the room for me and made what could have been a stressful experience very easy. The front desk staff is outstanding. I would stay here again.

I stayed here for a work institute that was hosted on site. The facility was well maintained and clean. The staff were very nice and attentive. The food served during the event and offered in the lobby restaurant were excellent. Thank you for a great stay!

We came to Phoenix and stayed for a week. What a beautiful and pleasant day! The hotel is beautiful! Location is perfect to get to anywhere under 20 mins. The rooms were clean and spacious. What we really loved was the food!! We took advantage of the credit we get as Marriott Bonvoy Platinum and looooved the hummus and the wings! Everything we tried was very tasty! The service was excellent too! The lounge was sooo beautiful! We totally loved our stay! Will definitely pick this place again if we come to Phoenix.

My room is literally amazing. The service was impeccable. I will definitely be back. The gym is pretty big for hotel standards. The pool was nice, except don’t expect to see the sun hit it in October. I sat in the courtyard to catch some rays. Service 10/10.

I attended a conference here recently. This hotel's best assets are the staff - just wonderful! Ken at the front desk was especially helpful, along with a couple of other ladies (didn't get their names)! Our room was clean and comfortable, however, the bathroom needs work. Whenever we took a shower water leaked out onto the floor. Fortunately, the housekeeping staff was amazing and helped us to keep plenty of large towels in our room to soak up all of the water. Very poor shower design. I heard other conference attendees say their bathroom had the exact same problem. The bed was very comfortable, and it was really nice to have a fridge that maintained an ice cold temp. The very large TV was also a plus. We made good use of the swimming pool - it's not large, but it was clean and especially nice to go to at night. There are a lot of good restaurants within close walking distance in all price ranges, as well as a grocery store. Chase Field is also a super easy 10 minute walk.

It was a good a experience. Place has pool and workout place but I took advantage of lots of walking to visit many local places due to nice early February weather rather than sticking at pool or working out.
